About Us
This website is maintained as a public service by the Geneva Trade Platform, and was made possible through a generous contribution from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
We aim to provide a neutral and apolotical collection of information and sources on plurilateral negotiations and agreements at the World Trade Organization, and the MPIA. The website is intended for informational purposes only, and takes no position on any individual issue or negotiation, nor on the broader question of plurilaterals as a concept.
The Geneva Trade Platform
We are an independent, non-partisan platform dedicated to supporting the inclusivity and effectiveness of the trade policy conversation in Geneva, and around the world.
Housed within the Geneva Graduate Institute’s Centre for Trade and Economic Integration, we operate with a small secretariat to bring the resources and convening power of the Institute together with donor funds to address challenges to the international trade policy conversation.
You can find more information about the Geneva Trade Platform and how to collaborate with us on our website.
Konrad Adenauer Foundation
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is a political foundation, closely associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). As co-founder of the CDU and the first Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Konrad Adenauer (1876-1967) united Christian-social, conservative and liberal traditions. His name is synonymous with the democratic reconstruction of Germany, the firm alignment of foreign policy with the trans-Atlantic community of values, the vision of a unified Europe and also the concept of social market economy. Through civic education activities in Germany and in over 120 countries we want to make a contribution to get closer to a world of peace, freedom and justice.
The KAS Geneva office wants to be a place for networking between partners and experts from the worldwide network of the KAS and the organizations located in Geneva. The strengthening of a rules and values-based multilateralism and thus also of the WTO are among our key concerns. Our aim is improving the understanding for the discussions led in the Geneva-based organizations and at the same time introducing the guiding principles of the KAS into the debates and the work of the Geneva-based organizations.
